Brotherhood

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 New Living Translation (NLT)

Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble… A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer.

Most people know I am not a fan of how “accountability” looks in the average relationship.

Too often the weight of responsibility is placed on the ‘partner’ to ask the right questions, maintain a consistent schedule, and/or it turns into a ‘rationalization session’ where two broken people are justifying their lack of Biblical Christianity based on each other’s struggles… rather than spurring each other on based on the pure unadulterated Word of God.

So I felt like there needed to be what Solomon talks about – a brotherhood.  An “I’m not quitting on you or leaving you on the battlefield” relationship – like a blood brother – that stands with you on God’s Word.

The following resources are a feeble attempt by our ministry to facilitate a brotherhood beyond our weekly and monthly gatherings – to help men become all that Christ paid for!

None of this is easy on your schedule, your flesh, or your old ways of doing things. It’s time for new things.

10:10 Prayer Challenge

Ready for a new perspective on prayer? Using a simple strategy of “taking back” 10-minute segments of your day from being wasted and unintentional, you’ll discover that you can easily pray for almost 2 hours each day… don’t believe it? I dare you to take the 10:10 Prayer Challenge.

For 10 days, you will be sent a prayer focus and a challenge to find 10 minutes to focus on that topic or expression of prayer (conversation) with the Lord. Then you will be challenged to take back those wasted 10-minute segments of your day (car ride to work, to an appointment, going the bathroom, taking a shower, waiting in lines etc…) as you begin to pray through the 10:10 Prayer focuses throughout your day! Before you know it, you have ten segments of your day that you can easily pray for 10-mins – giving you back control over almost 2 hours of your day as you talk with the Lord and listen for His voice!

The daily emails will walk you through 10 days of focus elements, then guide you through 10 days of “combining elements” to then have you praying for ten 10-minute segments of your day by Day 21!

90 Days Deeper

During the 90 Days Deeper (12-weeks) process, we will walk together through various workbook studies – keeping everyone on the same timeline and “page of the book.”

Each Monday you will get an email reminding you of the specific chapter we are on for that week, what the expectations are for the week ahead, and a link to share your thoughts on the topics being discussed with others in the group.

The three 12-week studies are from THE WALK SERIES from Pure Life Ministries. You will need one of the workbooks to go along with the 90 Days Deeper, and they can be purchased here:

A Lamp Unto My Feet

Once your workbook arrives, sign up for the corresponding book and we will keep tabs on your progress and remind you to stay up to date with others going through it as well on the same timeline!

"THE MORE" 33 Series

SERIES COMING SOON

  • – Worship MORE

  • – Die MORE
  • – Serve MORE
  • – Wait MORE
  • – MORE light
  • – Memorize MORE

Each of “the more” focus areas will guide you through a 33-day process of seeking God for “THE MORE” that He promises:

Jeremiah 33:3 is one of my favorite verses which says “Call to me, says the Lord, and I will answer you and show you great and unsearchable things you do not yet know!

The promise is that He will answer – and there are things we do not yet know that He will show us as we cry out to Him.

In Philippians 4:9 Paul says “the things you learned, received, and have heard and seen in me, put into practice…” so we have decided to simply share an approach to doing that which involves “learning”, “watching and writing”, and “practicing.”

Day 1-10

For the first 10 days, you will get a daily email with content to help you “learn” about the topic from a Biblical perspective – and to push you outside the box of what you thought you knew.

Day 11 – Fasting

Day 12-21

The next 10 days, you will be challenge to record what you have “seen and heard”… or, “watch and write” about how you see the topic of focus actually being lived out (or not) in your life. It’s a chance to take an honest pulse.

Day 22 – Fasting

Day 23-32

The final 10 days, you will be challenged to put into practice the topic of focus in your daily life, routines, and pursuit of the Lord. You will take what you learned and saw in your own life, and seek God’s help in practicing it on a daily basis.

Day 33 – Fasting

Accountability partners come and go... brothers are family forever.
