Broken Free Homework

If you have committed to a Broken Free Trimester, you are required to submit your weekly homework by midnight each Friday. Failure to do so with this electronic form (or, failure to drop off your answers in writing to Justin’s house – or send by fax) reflects a lack of commitment to the process, and is taken very seriously.

Winter/Spring Trimester Goals:

  • Read 1 Corinthians 1-13, Intoxicated With Babylon, At The Altar of Sexual Idolatry
  • Complete Weeks 1-12 of Walk of Repentance Devotional Workbook
  • Complete 7-day fast
  • Attend March 9 & 10 Retreat

Daily suggested structure:

  • Wake up and read assigned Bible reading, and complete daily devotional workbook (30-60 mins).
  • Read and journal on assigned book reading after dinner (30-60 mins).
  • Exercise on weekends (30-60 mins).

General pace:

  • 1 Bible Chapter a week
  • 2-3 Book Chapters a week
  • 1 Workbook Devotional a day

By Friday, January 12
Read Chapters 1-2 of INTOXICATED. Take notes please.
Read Chapter 1 of 1 Corinthians, write a reflection each day in your journal.
Pray about your TV and ‘shows’ boundary for this trimester – make a decision.
Find time to do 30 minutes of exercise this week, meditating on 1 verse the whole time.

By Friday, January 19
Read Chapters 3-5 of INTOXICATED (which ends Part 1). Take notes please.
Read Chapter 2 of 1 Corinthians, write a reflection each day in your journal.
Pray about your phone and social media boundary for this trimester – make a decision.
Find time to do 40 minutes of exercise this week, meditating on 1 verse the whole time.

By Friday, January 26
Read Chapters 6-8 of INTOXICATED. Take notes please.
Read Chapter 3 of 1 Corinthians, write a reflection each day in your journal.
Pray about your friends boundary for this trimester – make a decision.
Find time to do 50 minutes of exercise this week, meditating on 1 verse the whole time.
Schedule time with your Broken Free Leader to meet next week.

By Friday, February 2
Read Chapters 9-11 of INTOXICATED (which ends Part 2). Take notes please.
Read Chapter 4 of 1 Corinthians, write a reflection each day in your journal.
Pray about your food boundary for this trimester – make a decision.
Find time to do 60 minutes of exercise this week, meditating on 1 verse the whole time.
Meet with Broken Free Leader to discuss 1st Trimester process.
